Am I a Real Christian?

Are you a Christian? Just because you go to Church or belong to some religious organization it does not mean that you are a

Christian. So what is a Christian or better yet what makes a person a Christian, look at Act 11: 26: And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. So why were they called Christians because of their Christ Likeness.

So test yourself and see if you are or are not a Christian. There is a very simple way of checking; first you will need to get two things a tape recorder and a hammer. When you are ready press record on the tape recorder then take the hammer and hit your thumb. As soon as the pain goes away rewind the tape player and listen to the words that came out of your mouth. You see anyone can call themselves a Christian on the outside, but it is what’s on the inside that makes a person a real Christian.

Read the 4 Gospels in the Bible about how Jesus conducted Himself in all of life situations and compare that to your life style. What does it say to you, is there anything that needs to change in your life?

Here are some good scriptures on being a true Christian.

Matthew: 6:24
Romans: 12:1
James: 1:22
James: 4:17

Take a look at how Jesus lived His life here on this earth.

After the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior we see Christ gave the commission to His disciples. “All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth,” He said “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15. Again and again the words were repeated, that the disciples might grasp their significance. Upon all the inhabitants of the earth, high and low, rich and poor, was the light of heaven to shine in clear, strong rays. The disciples were to be co-laborers with their Redeemer in the work of saving souls for Gods kingdom..

The commission had been given to the twelve when Christ met with them in the upper chamber; but it was now to be given to all His true believers. At the meeting on a mountain in Galilee, all the believers who could be called together were assembled. Of this meeting Christ Himself, before His death, had designated the time and place. The angel at the tomb reminded the disciples of His promise to meet them in Galilee.

The promise was repeated to the believers who were gathered at Jerusalem during the Passover week, and through them it reached many lonely ones who were mourning the death of their Lord. With intense interest all looked forward to the interview. They made their way to the place of meeting by circuitous routes, coming in from every direction, to avoid exciting the suspicion of the jealous Jews. With wondering hearts they came, talking earnestly together of the news that had reached them concerning Christ.

At the time appointed, about five hundred believers were collected in little knots on the mountainside, eager to learn all that could be learned from those who had seen Christ since His resurrection. From group to group the disciples passed, telling all they had seen and heard of Jesus, and reasoning from the Scriptures as He had done with them. Thomas recounted the story of his unbelief, and told how his doubts had been swept away.

Suddenly Jesus stood among them. No one could tell whence or how He came. Many who were present had never before seen Him; but in His hands and feet they beheld the marks of the crucifixion; His countenance was as the face of God, and when they saw Him, they worshiped Him.

This was the only interview that Jesus had with many of the believers after His resurrection. He came and spoke to them saying, “All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.” The disciples had worshiped Him before He spoke, but His words, falling from lips that had been closed in death, thrilled them with peculiar power. He was now the risen Savior. Many of them had seen Him exercise His power in healing the sick and controlling satanic agencies.

They believed that He possessed power to set up His kingdom at Jerusalem, power to quell all opposition, power over the elements of nature. He had stilled the angry waters; He had walked upon the white-crested billows; He had raised the dead to life. Now He declared that “all power” was given to Him. His words carried the minds of His hearers above earthly and temporal things to the heavenly and eternal. They were lifted to the highest conception of His dignity and glory.

Christ’s words on the mountainside were the announcement that His sacrifice in behalf of man was full and complete. The conditions of the atonement had been fulfilled; the work for which He came to this world had been accomplished. He was on His way to the throne of God, to be honored by angels, principalities, and powers. He had entered upon His mediatorial work. Clothed with boundless authority, He gave His commission to the disciples: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,” “baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Matt. 28:19, 20,

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you Christ said to His true believers. If we are to be a part of Christ true believers today we like His true believes 2000 years ago need to be doing the same thing, don’t you agree. Remember God does not change men change but God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Almost 2000 years ago the Son of God Jesus the very word of God walked this earth. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 The same was in the beginning with God.3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

Jesus was the master creator of not only our world but of all the heavens of heavens. It was Jesus who formed man out of the dust of the earth and breathe into him the spirit of live from his creator God. It was also Jesus who told our first parents not to eat from one tree in the garden as a test of man obedience to his creator God. It was also Jesus who in console with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit said that if mankind failed the test of obedience He would give His life in their place. Why because the law said in Ezekiel 18:20: The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The children of Israel were the chosen people of God to tell the world about Him. But instead of telling the world about God they built wall between themselves and the gentiles.

The Bible tells us in John: 1: 11 that Jesus came to His own people, but His own people who should have been watching for the fulfillment of the prophecy’s about His coming were sleeping on the job.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.12 But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

If you want to be a true Christian then you must live as Jesus lived, is that not correct. What was the one thing that Jesus always did that made Him so different, He kept His Father Commandments? What was His Father Commandments John: 15:9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. God has giving to man His laws His Ten Commandments law that if a man will live by them it will show to the world who you really love. The first 4 commandments are on one table of stone telling about mans duty and love to his Creator God, the other 6 on a table of stone is man duty and love to his neighbor, (His friend, his brother, where he works, people he meets every day, and most of people who are poor and in need of help)

When Jesus was asked by a rich young Ruler what must he do to be saved Jesus told him to keep the Commandments go read the story of the rich young ruler in Mark 10: 17 to 21. If Jesus had any plans to change any of the Ten Commandments why would He tell this young man to keep them. The reason was that Jesus also kept them because they were His Father Commandments and He Gods Son lived His life by them to show the world that man can live but every world that comes out of the mouth of his Creator God.
John: 15: 11“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

Right here Jesus is saying this is the fulfillment of the Father last 6 Commandments. They were written on tables of stone that mean that cannot be changed.

All through the Bible you will find every law spoken of has a relationship to one if not more of God Ten Commandments law that He wrote on two tables’s stone and gave to His people.

Jesus CallingJohn: 3: 16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Want to know if you are a true Christian, remember a few years ago there were a lot of people with the sign (WWJD: What Would Jesus Do). Well that is very true, do what Jesus did because after all there is where the name Christian came from, people living and doing what Jesus did.

If Jesus was kind to His enemies, you too be kind to your enemies and forgive them as Jesus would do. If Jesus spent time in praying, you should also spend time every morning and evening praying for strength from God to be like His with everyone you meet. If Jesus went out of His way to give someone help, then you too should be ready always to lend a hand to someone in need. If Jesus went to Church every week and did it on the Day His Father said was holy the (Sabbath) then what day do you think you should be going to Church.

Please remember something that the New Testament Scriptures was not written till almost 15 or 20 years after the Death of our Lord Jesus. So just like Jesus did, also did His follower, they preached and went to Church every Sabbath. They were showing the people in the Old Testament scriptures the prophecy’s that all things pointed to Jesus who was the Son of God the Father.

Go and take a look at Paul who was the first missionary to the Gentile, look at Acts: 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. Know where in the Bible does it says anything about a change being made to God’s Commandment Law. What is really sad is the fact that most Christian don’t even know what day Sabbath is. Why because the Roman Church changed the Sabbath to Sunday and so people take it for what it is and never question the Church. No matter how good or holy a person appears on the outside, it is what’s on the inside that counts.

No Man no matter who he is or how holy he may seem to be has the authority to change any of Gods Laws.

Look at what Paul has to say about that.

Galatians: 1: 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Paul is saying that if anyone comes to you preaching any other Gospel then the one that he preach at the first let that man be accursed. In other words don’t listen to him or what he has to say, because he is a liar, and the Bible said that Satan is the father of all liar.

Because the gift of God is eternal life through only one person, God Son Jesus Christ.

Romans: 6: 23
23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Propose in your heart today before it is too late to follow Jesus and by following Him and doing the things He did, it will tell the world what you are. Because what will show on the inside will be the same on the outside, Christian (Christ Like)

A prophet is without honor

A prophet is without honor, in his own country, and among his own kin, and even in his own house!

Mark 6:4 4: But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

Many years ago I went to Visit a friend who lived in a far away county, he been there for about 20 years. He married a woman from there and had 4 children and had one on the way, wow I said for an old guy you are doing well. He invited me to stay and eat so I said no problem as I wanted to visit more anyway. So when it came time to eat we were called in to sit at the table but I felt a little uncountable. He looked at me and said is there a problem; I look at him and said is your wife and children coming to eat with us. He said no they will eat after we are finished, I did not say anymore just continue to eat with him. When we were finished the children came and took up the plates and cleaned up the table. They then followed him into the living room and made sure he was sitting in his recliner and brought him a large glass of limeade; they then took off his shoes and made sure he did not need anything else. They stood there until he told them he was ok, and then they left to go to the kitchen to eat. I was dumbfounded and just had to ask him what is the meaning of all this. He said it is all about respect, they respect the bread winner in the home this is something that the US has lost. The children in the US do not respect anyone let alone there parent. He then said to me they were raised with respect know that I provide for them everyday and so they do all these little things for me out of love and respect for providing for them. Boy he was right about one thing children in the US don’t treat there Father like that.

I find it very difficult to say anything to people I grew up with about God, and much worse sometimes my own family. Why is this, you see them headed for destruction but they don’t want to hear what you have to say in fact they will hear and listen to anyone else but me. If you had a son and he was going to touch a hot stove the first thing you would do is to step in and warn him not to touch the stove right, it’s the same thing. Now don’t get me wrong I too need guidance and I too make mistakes, but I generally try and see if in fact I need to do something about it, if I need to change. For me I go to the Bible and study asking God to please show me what I need to do.

I found that even when Jesus was here on Earth He too had the same problem when around people of His own household and Town where He grew-up.

One day Jesus was visiting His home town in Nazareth where He grow-up as a carpenter. He must of spent almost 25 years or more of His life in that town working at His father trade. But when He became 30 He left the carpenter shop and began His ministry on earth; going all over Judea telling the people about His Father God and healing them. He opened the eyes of the blind, gave hearing to the deaf and made the crippled walk again. But when He came home to the town He grow up in He found very few if any who believed Him.

A prophet is not without honor when in his own family or with in his own country. One reason for this is that it is almost natural for persons to hold a lesser account than they ought for those with whom they have been brought up with and have lived on familiar terms.

Prophets are commonly least regarded, and even envied, in their own country. However unworthy may be the feeling, the inhabitants of a town, City, or a community, do not like to see one of themselves put above them, more especially a young man over a senior, or a poor and humble man over a rich and well educated man.

But it should be remembered that God abhors the envious, and will withhold the wonders of his grace from those who grudge his gifts to others.

The men of Nazareth, when they saw Christ eating, and drinking, and sleeping, and working at his trade, like others, despised him when he claimed respect and reverence as a Prophet, and especially because his relations according to the flesh were of humble condition; and Joseph more particularly, whom they supposed to be his real father, for they could not imagine or believe that he was born of a virgin, and had God alone for his Father.

Even in our world today you will almost always find someone jealousy because someone who they held as a person who will never succeed move ahead of them to become a man of great significances.

*** Look at the story of boy named Joseph Genesis 37:
3: Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.
4: And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.
5: And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
6: And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
7: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
8: And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
9: And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
10: And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?
11: And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

As the scripture said his brothers heated him for a number of reasons.

First because there Father loved him more then all the rest and Second because he had dreams of them bowing down and becoming greater than all of them. Can you see somewhat of a problem here, no one wants to be last we all want to be first. Like it or not we all tend to because jealous of someone who is just a normal everyday person moving up from a back street gutter boy to an CEO of a company like GE. We all tend to say where did that little dumb snot noise kid get all that knowledge & wisdom from.

It was no less the same with Joseph, but what we don’t see is the man inside; we view only the out side of people never seeing what they are really made of. God looks on the inside of all man even before we are born God knows us. Jeremiah:1:5: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

So be careful the next time you say something to that little running nose kid with the wet stinky diaper; he may just be Gods next prophet.

Things are not always what they seem; the first appearance deceives many; the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden.”
Luke 6:22, 23: “Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.”

Jesus knew what His follower would have to go through; being rejected by there family & friends and sometimes being rejected by the entire community. None the less they were called by God to fulfill His mission giving to them.

John 15:16-19: “Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

Jesus tells us not to worry or be dismayed by the world but to follow Him. The prophet are no different then all of us, except they have Faith that if God said it they believe it.

1 Peter 2:9: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

God’s People: This is an insert taking out of a book called Desire of Ages on the life of Jesus

As we read the word of God, how plain it appears that His people are to be peculiar and distinct from the unbelieving world around them.
Our position is interesting and fearful; living in the last days, how important that we imitate the example of Christ, and walk even as He walked. “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” The opinions and wisdom of men must not guide or govern us because they always lead away from the cross.

The servants of Christ have neither their home nor their treasure here. I wish that all of them could understand that it is only because the Lord reigns that we are even permitted to dwell in peace and safety among our enemies. It is not our privilege to claim special favors of the world. We must consent to be poor and despised among men, until the warfare is finished and the victory won. The members of Christ are called to come out and be separate from the friendship and spirit of the world; their strength and power consists in being chosen and accepted of God.

The Son of God is the heir of all things, and the dominion and glory of the kingdoms of this world were promised to Him. Yet when He appeared in this world, it was without riches or splendor. The world understood not His union with the Father; the excellency and glory of His divine character were hid from them. He was therefore “despised and rejected of men,” and “we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” Even as Christ was in the world, so are His followers.

They are the sons of God, and joint heirs with Christ; and the kingdom and dominion belong to them. The world understands not their character and holy calling; they perceive not their adoption into the family of God. Their union and fellowship with the Father and Son is not manifest, and while the world beholds their humiliation and reproach, it does not appear what they are, or what they shall be. They are strangers. The world knows them not, and appreciates not the motives which actuate them.

The world is ripening for its destruction. God can bear with sinners but a little longer. They must drink the dregs of the cup of His wrath unmixed with mercy. Those who will be heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ to the immortal inheritance, will be peculiar.
Yes, so peculiar that God will place a mark upon them as His, wholly His. Think ye that God will receive, honor, and acknowledge a people so mixed up with the world that they differ from them only in name?

It is soon to be known who is on the Lord’s side, who will not be ashamed of Jesus. Those who have not moral courage to conscientiously take their position in the face of unbelievers, leave the fashions of the world, and imitate the self-denying life of Christ, are ashamed of Him, and do not love His example.

During His childhood and youth, Jesus had worshiped among His brethren in the synagogue at Nazareth. Since the opening of His ministry He had been absent from them, but they had not been ignorant of what had befallen Him. As He again appeared among them, their interest and expectation were excited to the highest pitch. Here were the familiar forms and faces of those whom He had known from infancy. Here were His mother, His brothers and sisters, and all eyes were turned upon Him as He entered the synagogue upon the Sabbath day, and took His place among the worshipers.

In the regular service for the day, the elder read from the prophets, and exhorted the people still to hope for the Coming One, who would bring in a glorious reign, and banish all oppression. He sought to encourage his hearers by rehearsing the evidence that the Messiah’s coming was near. He described the glory of His advent, keeping prominent the thought that He would appear at the head of armies to deliver Israel.

When a rabbi was present at the synagogue, he was expected to deliver the sermon, and any Israelite might give the reading from the prophets. Upon this Sabbath Jesus was requested to take part in the service. He “stood up to read. And there was delivered unto Him a roll of the prophet Isaiah.” Luke 4:16, 17,. The scripture which He read was one that was understood as referring to the Messiah:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To preach deliverance to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

And He closed the roll, and gave it back to the attendant: . . . and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on Him. . . . And all bare Him witness, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded out of His mouth.” Luke 4:20-22,

Jesus stood before the people as a living expositor of the prophecies concerning Himself. Explaining the words He had read, He spoke of the Messiah as a reliever of the oppressed, a liberator of captives, a healer of the afflicted, restoring sight to the blind, and revealing to the world the light of truth. His impressive manner and the wonderful import of His words thrilled the hearers with a power they had never felt before. The tide of divine influence broke every barrier down; like Moses, they beheld the Invisible. As their hearts were moved upon by the Holy Spirit, they responded with fervent amen’s and praises to the Lord.

But when Jesus announced, “Today is this scripture fulfilled in your ears,” Luke: 4:21  they were suddenly recalled to think of themselves, and of the claims of Him who had been addressing them. They, Israelites, children of Abraham, had been represented as in bondage. They had been addressed as prisoners to be delivered from the power of evil; as in darkness, and needing the light of truth. Their pride was offended, and their fears were roused. The words of Jesus indicated that His work for them was to be altogether different from what they desired. Their deeds might be investigated too closely.

Notwithstanding their exactness in outward ceremonies, they shrank from inspection by those clear, searching eyes Who is this Jesus? they questioned. He who had claimed for Himself the glory of the Messiah was the son of a carpenter, and had worked at His trade with His father Joseph. They had seen Him toiling up and down the hills; they were acquainted with His brothers and sisters, and knew His life and labors. They had seen Him develop from childhood to youth and from youth to manhood. Although His life had been spotless, they would not believe that He was the Promised One.

What a contrast between His teaching in regard to the new kingdom and that which they had heard from their elder! Jesus had said nothing of delivering them from the Romans. They had heard of His miracles, and had hoped that His power would be exercised for their advantage, but they had seen no indication of such purpose.
As they opened the door to doubt, their hearts became so much the harder for having been momentarily softened. Satan was determined that blind eyes should not that day be opened, nor souls bound in slavery be set at liberty. With intense energy he worked to fasten them in unbelief. They made no account of the sign already given, when they had been stirred by the conviction that it was their Redeemer who addressed them.

But Jesus now gave them an evidence of His divinity by revealing their secret thoughts. Luke 4:23-27, And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

By this relation of events in the lives of the prophets, Jesus met the questionings of His hearers. The servants whom God had chosen for a special work were not allowed to labor for a hardhearted and unbelieving people. But those who had hearts to feel and faith to believe were especially favored with evidences of His power through the prophets. In the days of Elijah, Israel had departed from God. They clung to their sins, and rejected the warnings of the Spirit through the Lord’s messengers. Thus they cut themselves off from the channel by which God’s blessing could come to them. The Lord passed by the homes of Israel, and found a refuge for His servant in a heathen land, with a woman who did not belong to the chosen people. But this woman was favored because she had followed the light she had received, and her heart was open to the greater light that God sent her through His prophet.

Our standing before God depends, not upon the amount of light we have received, but upon the use we make of what we have. Thus even the heathen who choose the right as far as they can distinguish it are in a more favorable condition than are those who have had great light, and profess to serve God, but who disregard the light, and by their daily life contradict their profession

The words of Jesus to His hearers in the synagogue struck at the root of their self-righteousness, pressing home upon them the bitter truth that they had departed from God and forfeited their claim to be His people. Every word cut like a knife as their real condition was set before them. They now scorned the faith with which Jesus had at first inspired them. They would not admit that He who had sprung from poverty and lowliness was other than a common man
Their unbelief bred malice. Satan controlled them, and in wrath they cried out against the Savior. They had turned from Him whose mission it was to heal and restore; now they manifested the attributes of the destroyer

When Jesus referred to the blessings given to the Gentiles, the fierce national pride of His hearers was aroused, and His words were drowned in a tumult of voices. These people had prided themselves on keeping the law; but now that their prejudices were offended, they were ready to commit murder. The assembly broke up, and laying hands upon Jesus, they thrust Him from the synagogue, and out of the city. All seemed eager for His destruction. They hurried Him to the brow of a precipice, intending to cast Him down headlong. Shouts and maledictions filled the air. Some were casting stones at Him, when suddenly He disappeared from among them. The heavenly messengers who had been by His side in the synagogue were with Him in the midst of that maddened throng. They shut Him in from His enemies, and conducted Him to a place of safety.

So angels protected Lot, and led him out safely from the midst of Sodom. So they protected Elisha in the little mountain city. When the encircling hills were filled with the horses and chariots of the king of Syria, and the great host of his armed men, Elisha beheld the nearer hill slopes covered with the armies of God,–horses and chariots of fire round about the servant of the Lord.

So, in all ages, angels have been near to Christ’s faithful followers. The vast confederacy of evil is arrayed against all who would overcome; but Christ would have us look to the things which are not seen, to the armies of heaven encamped about all who love God, to deliver them. From what dangers, seen and unseen, we have been preserved through the interposition of the angels, we shall never know, until in the light of eternity we see the providences of God. Then we shall know that the whole family of heaven was interested in the family here below, and that messengers from the throne of God attended our steps from day to day.

Oh, how Christ longed to open to Israel the precious treasures of the truth! But such was their spiritual blindness that it was impossible to reveal to them the truths relating to His kingdom. They clung to their creed and their useless ceremonies when the truth of Heaven awaited their acceptance.

They spent their money for chaff and husks, when the bread of life was within their reach. Why did they not go to the word of God, and search diligently to know whether they were in error? The Old Testament Scriptures stated plainly every detail of Christ’s ministry, and again and again He quoted from the prophets, and declared, “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.” If they had honestly searched the Scriptures, bringing their theories to the test of God’s word, Jesus need not have wept over their impenitence.

He need not have declared, “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.” Luke 13:35. They might have been acquainted with the evidence of His Messiahship, and the calamity that laid their proud city in ruins might have been averted. But the minds of the Jews had become narrowed by their unreasoning bigotry. The lessons of Christ revealed their deficiencies of character, and demanded repentance. If they accepted His teachings, their practices must be changed, and their cherished hopes relinquished. In order to be honored by Heaven, they must sacrifice the honor of men. If they obeyed the words of this new rabbi, they must go contrary to the opinions of the great thinkers and teachers of the time.

Truth was unpopular in Christ’s day. It is unpopular in our day. It has been unpopular ever since Satan first gave man a disrelish for it by presenting fables that lead to self-exaltation. Do we not today meet theories and doctrines that have no foundation in the word of God? Men cling as tenaciously to them as did the Jews to their traditions.

The Jewish leaders were filled with spiritual pride. Their desire for the glorification of self manifested itself even in the service of the sanctuary. They loved the highest seats in the synagogue. They loved greetings in the market places, and were gratified with the sound of their titles on the lips of men. As real piety declined, they became more jealous for their traditions and ceremonies.

Because their understanding was darkened by selfish prejudice, they could not harmonize the power of Christ’s convicting words with the humility of His life. They did not appreciate the fact that real greatness can dispense with outward show. This Man’s poverty seemed wholly inconsistent with His claim to be the Messiah. They questioned, If He was what He claimed to be, why was He so unpretending? If He was satisfied to be without the force of arms, what would become of their sins, and the reproach they felt even from the presence of His purity.

Be careful of what you think because sometime God might send to you some of your own family to direct you to the real truth about Him and His love for you. Always test it by the Bible Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”

We need to study Gods word daily and let His word through the Holy Spirit bring us into the truth light. Taking the Old and New Testament together, they must agree with what we believe, if they don’t agree with what you believe then you are not following Gods true.

The Bible is never wrong look at 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Preach the word but make sure it is the true word of God; you will find many people who will reject what you say mostly among your own family. But never argue over what the Bible says. Just bring with you the truth of Gods word if they will not hear you then you have done your part.

God Bless you all my friend in Christ

Sitting on the Fence

Sitting on the Fence, Middle Ground, The best of both worlds

Get off the FenceAs our scripture today reads in Mt:6:24: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

For a long time I was happy just sitting on the fence. It was what I thought was the best of both worlds. I did what I wanted to during the week and on Sabbaths I went to church. Went out Friday and Saturday nights, but I went to church on Sabbath.   It was easy and I was happy or so I thought.

I believe I was twelve when I told my dad, and I told him with attitude, because that was what I was full of when I was twelve. I told my dad to stop pushing his religion on me. The weird thing after that was that my dad then gave me the choice. And of course being the rebellious child that I was I stopped going to church.

I always believed that there was a God and I always believed that Jesus existed.

I got married, two years later got pregnant. I was getting better after that. Starting going to church more. I wanted to give my life to God. But I would be giving up so much. I didn’t want to stop going out, drinking, partying, what would people think of me, they would call me a holy rolly. I made fun of people like that.

But God knew my heart and he knew that I wanted to give my life to him, and he knew of someone dear to me that would help him.

I was seven months pregnant when we found out that my dad had cancer. Suddenly my whole world turned upside down, how could this happen. I didn’t know what to do. I turned to God, begged him to help my dad. He was a good man and always did everything for everyone else and expected nothing in return. I started going to church more, prayed every night. But then my dad got better and I began to go back to the life I had before. I went back to sitting on the fence.

Mother PrayingBut I wanted to change; I wanted to be a better person, a better mother, a better wife a better daughter. And I tried, but I had to just give up so much.

It was two years later, two weeks before x-mas when my dad came to my house unexpected. I had to hear that horrible news THE CANCER WAS BACK.

WHAT, WHY WAS THIS HAPPENING, HE IS SUCH A GOOD PERSON, HE DID SO MUCH, during his first treatment he never missed a beat. He only missed one day of work, he held up all of his duties with the church and at the time he was head elder so he had a lot of responsibility. I didn’t understand why this was happening.

I knew my life was not going the way I wanted it to. But I didn’t think God wanted me. I knew better, I was raised better than that, I didn’t think I had a chance. But how could I expect God to help me when I wasn’t willing to help myself. How could I ask God to help me when I wasn’t willing to give him anything in return?

I was frantic this time, searching everywhere for the answers. I would get my Bible out looking for something. I wanted my dad’s faith, but I was so far gone. One late night, I was searching for an answer. I was talking to God, asking him to help me. I picked up my bible, the first page I turned to, had one verse that seemed to stick out of the page, as if it were the only thing written on that page, it was:

Matthew14:31: And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

I felt as if God were talking to me.   Saying you know me better than that, why do you doubt me, why would you doubt that I would not help you, why would you doubt that I would not want you?

I started to read more and ran across a different scriptures that read:

Mt:17:20: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Mt:6:8: Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Mt:21:22: And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Mt:7:7: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Mt:7:8: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Lk:12:28: If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

I had heard these verses over and over growing up but only now did I understand what they meant.

Was that me, but I believed there was a God, I believed that Jesus was the son of God.

But you know you see so may people theses days that go to church or get involved with certain things in church just to say that they paid their dues.

They act like serving God is a chore and something that they rather not do. But they have to do it.

There is a difference between believing that Jesus exists and believing in Jesus.

Jn:3:16: reads. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Believeth IN HIM. You can believe something but not believe in something. Believing in Jesus is what transforms you. Believing in, trusting in, having faith in, accepting him. That is our acceptance of Jesus.

Jesus CallingWhen we are sitting on the fence are we really believing in Jesus, are we really believing in God.

Or are we just doing what we believe is required of us.

Believing in Jesus is what will give us eternal life, not just believing that there is a Jesus.

When you believe in Jesus, when you accept him into your life, the Holy Spirit takes over and you become a different person. The things that you thought were so hard to give up, you wonder why you thought you could not live with out it

I don’t know if that is why my dad got cancer. But sometimes I wonder.

I can almost see God telling satan to try to turn me. Make my dad sick, it will only send her straight to me.

Like in the book of Job, God’s humble servant. That is who I think of when I see my dad. He praised God through everything.

Some times God has to knock you on your knees.

1Pt:1:7: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

God knew that my dads faith was untouchable, and he knew that I needed just needed to be pushed off of the fence that I was already facing in his direction.

My dad and I were talking about everything one evening. About him getting sick and maybe he got sick because God knew it would bring me back. My dad said that he would go threw it a thousand times if it would bring all of his children back to God.

These days I speak with God every few hours as opposed to every few days.

My life isn’t perfect in fact sometimes it is harder than it was before. But I know that I am not alone, God is always with me and I try to make sure that I include him in every aspect of my life.

For me it is so much more than just paying my dues, making sure that I go to church of Sabbath, going to church is only a small part of my relationship with God. It is allowing him control of my life, to put things in his hands, He never said that it would be easy, but he said that he would see me through the storm.

Dad and Daughter holding handsAnd I no longer consider myself sitting on the fence.

Gone Fishing!

If you are going to go Fishing what equipment will you need to bring.

father--son-fishing--Father-s-Day-jpg[1]

  1. Fishing Line if outside of the US or Fishing Pole if you live in the USA.
  2. Hook
  3. Some type of Bate or Lure something to attract what you are trying to catch.
  4. It would help to have Water or a Place to Fish of course

Ever wonder what does satin uses to fish with?

I found that he has many different types of Lures for catching people fish.

What does God use to fish with? The only thing that God has that He can fish with is Truth

Try the water a little and see if you will catch anything

Jesus was about to start his Ministry one day and went looking for Men who would make good students.

Now I have to question this, because if you are going to look for people to start your business or ministry; would you knot go and look for the best people to have.

You know the smart one’s with a lot of schooling “I think they call them well educated” They know how to get things done, even if it is not the correct way so log as they meet their quota at the end of the day.

Jesus did not do it this way; why?

Well let take a look at where he found most of his disciples.

Matthew 4: 17-22

17: From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Now we know that Jesus had just started because the scriptures say he began to preach.

The Jewish leaders thought themselves too wise to need instruction, too righteous to need salvation, too highly honored to need the honor that comes from Christ.

The Savior turned away from them to entrust to others the privileges they had abused and the work they had slighted.

God’s glory must be revealed,    His word established.

Christ’s kingdom must be set up in the world.

The salvation of God must be made known in the cities and in the wilderness. The disciples of Jesus were called to do the work that the Jewish leaders & well educated men who clamed they had the truth had failed to do.

18: And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

These people were fishermen because they were unlearned men all they could do is fish to make a living.

Plus they were known to be violent men who sometimes could not control there temper. More then likely they drank and cursed and did a lot of fighting. But when Jesus saw them he knew they were just what he needed for the carrying on of His work, Christ did not choose the learning or eloquence of the Jewish Sanhedrin or the power of Rome.

Passing by the self-righteous Jewish teachers, the Master worker chose humble, unlearned men to proclaim the truths that were to move the world.

These men He purposed to train and educate as the leaders of His church. They in turn were to educate others and send them out with the gospel message. That they might have success in their work they were to be given the power of the Holy Spirit.

Not by human might or human wisdom was the gospel to be proclaimed, but by the power of God.

19: And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20: And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

Mark 1: 19-22

19: And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.

20: And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

For three years and a half the disciples were under the instruction of the greatest Teacher the world has ever known. By personal contact and association, Christ trained them for His service.

Day by day they walked and talked with Him, hearing His words of cheer to the weary and heavy-laden, and seeing the manifestation of His power in behalf of the sick and the afflicted.

Sometimes He taught them, sitting among them on the mountainside; sometimes beside the sea or walking by the way, He revealed the mysteries of the kingdom of God.

Wherever hearts were open to receive the divine message, He unfolded the truths of the way of salvation. He did not command the disciples to do this or that, but said, “Follow Me.

21: And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.

22: And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes

The mission that Jesus had here on this Earth was to show us how much our Father in heaven loves each and every one of us.

Its was not the Father plan that Man should die; that came into play only after Man prove to be disobedience to God command

Jesus came that all Men may be saved, “All Men”! And that means there is no one on this Earth whom can’t be saved as long as they want to be saved.

Jesus will never force his way on you, you must freely choose to be lost..

 Story:

imagesCA00N4UPWhen Patrick was about three or four years old he always wanted to go fishing. He would be after me all the time lets go fishing dad, come on lets go fishing, sometimes that is all I could hear from him.

So we would go to a pond and I would get out his little fishing pole and get him all set-up and he would just stay there for hours fishing. I would go and find a place to rest and read a book or do something that I been needing to do, and at the same time keep and eye on him.

This worked very well for a few years till he discovered I would never put any bate on the end of his line. When he learned what bate was for, my happy days of fishing with him were over.

I remember one time wend he was just about 3 years old and by accident a little fish got court on his hook and he had a ball pulling it in, it was no bigger then a quarter. So after he pulled Moby-dick in I said hey puppy look you got your first fish, he was so happy.

So I through the little fish back into the water and played like I put bate back on his line and through it back in to the water and told him here you go puppy. But he just looked at me and said I want to go home.

Well I was not finish reading my book so I said no man, come on lets finish fishing, here is your pole. All he would do was to look at me with a sad look on his face and about to cry. So I said what’s the problem puppy why don’t you want to fish anymore, I am not ready to leave yet!

He looked at me and said I court a fish and wanted to show my Mama and you through my fish back in the water, I want to go home!

What could I do?

****   I learned a very good lesson that day that I will never forget. No matter what size the fish, it has a value to someone.

**** All of God’s people have a Value even the little ones, He “Jesus” wants to bring them home to show his Father.

Why because greater love has no Man then this that he lay down his life for his friend. Brothers and Sisters that is what Jesus did. He was the greatest fishers of men and he wanted all of us to live forever with him in his paradise home.

***     The Bible said that they forsook all and followed Jesus

It was at the ordination of the Twelve that the first step was taken in the organization of the church that after Christ’s departure was to carry on His work on the earth.

Of this ordination the record says, “He goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him. And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach.” Mark 3:13, 14.

Look upon the touching scene. Behold the Majesty of heaven surrounded by the Twelve whom He has chosen. He is about to set them apart for their work. By these feeble agencies, through His word and Spirit, He designs to place salvation within the reach of all.

With gladness and rejoicing, God and the angels beheld this scene. The Father knew that from these men the light of heaven would shine forth; that the words spoken by them as they witnessed for His Son, would echo from generation to generation till the close of time.

The disciples were to go forth as Christ’s witnesses, to declare to the world what they had seen and heard of Him. Their office was the most important to which human beings had ever been called, second only to that of Christ Himself.

They were to be workers together with God for the saving of men. As in the Old Testament the twelve patriarchs stood as representatives of Israel, so the twelve apostles stand as representatives of the gospel church.

There would be many of others who were to follow in the foot step of these first fishers of men. Men who loved the Lord Jesus with all their might so that they would let nothing stand in there way of tell other about Jesus.

**********                                   ***********                                           ***********

Mission Story: Captain Mc Lean: Captain Mc Lean and his group of missionary were fishers of Men.

From the beginning God has wrought through His people to bring blessing to the world.

To the ancient Egyptian nation God made Joseph a fountain of life. Through the integrity of Joseph the life of that whole people was preserved.

Through Daniel God saved the life of all the wise men of Babylon. And these deliverances are as object lessons; they illustrate the spiritual blessings offered to the world through connection with the God whom Joseph and Daniel worshiped.

Everyone in whose heart Christ abides, everyone who will show forth His love to the world, is a worker together with God for the blessing of humanity

God chose Israel to reveal His character to men. He desired them to be as wells of salvation in the world. To them were committed the oracles of heaven, the revelation of God’s will.

In the early days of Israel the nations of the world, through corrupt practices, had lost the knowledge of God. They had once known Him; but because they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, . . . their foolish heart was darkened.” Romans 1:21.

Yet in His mercy God did not blot them out of existence. He purposed to give them an opportunity of again becoming acquainted with Him through His chosen people.

Through the teachings of the sacrificial service, Christ was to be uplifted before all nations, and all who would look to Him should live.

Christ was the foundation of the Jewish economy. The whole system of types and symbols was a compacted prophecy of the gospel, a presentation in which were bound up the promises of redemption.

But the people of Israel lost sight of their high privileges as God’s representatives.

They forgot God and failed to fulfill their holy mission. The blessings they received brought no blessing to the world. All their advantages they appropriated for their own glorification.

They shut themselves away from the world in order to escape temptation. The restrictions that God had placed upon their association with idolaters as a means of preventing them from conforming to the practices of the heathen, they used to build up a wall of separation between themselves and all other nations.

Until at last they forgot what they were called to do! They forgot that they were to be the Light to this world, the fishers of men. That hold nation was to be a nation of men and woman who would show other and tell others of a God of love.

************************************************************************

There was another time when Patrick and I were Diving in Honduras and there was a big Barracuda following us. So when we came up I told Patrick to get in the boat and hook the little jimmy hind fish we had to the big hook and line. Then through it as far as he could so that the Barracuda would go after it, all I could think is man what a good meal he is going to make.

So Patrick did as I told him and the fish went after the bate and took it, so I told Patrick give him a lot of slack so he has time to swallow the bate and then yank on the line to set the hook.

So he got all excited just knowing that there was a really big fish on the other end of the line. But he never fished like an Islander before so the hand line got tango and all he could do was to let it come tight. Now he was in a real fight, he was pulling in and then the fish would pull out he would pull in some more then the fish again, till at last the fish was right up against the side of the boat. I was still in the water looking at the hold thing trying to keep out of the way. Patrick then tried to pull the big Fish in the boat, but the Fish jump out of the water and spit the hook out at him and got away.

If he had just a little more time the fish would have swallowed the bate good, and would have never got off the hook. He had a really good time that day anyway.

****   People are just like that, and thanks to Jesus if we don’t swallow satin lie all the way we can with the help of the Holy Spirit we can get off of satin hook and spit it back at him, but only in the power and strength of the name of Jesus.

************************************************************************

satin is also a fisher of man looking for that big catch of the day. He does not care how he catches his fish, he doesn’t mind if he steeled them or hooks them or catches them in a net.

He just wants to do one thing, and that is to keep you away from Jesus and tuck you away in his cooler.

Have you ever watch what happens after the fishermen catch their fish, they put them into what they call a live well.

The only kinds of fish I have ever seen in a live well are dead fish. So why call it a live well.

Brothers satin want us in his live well where he knows we will all die.

Jesus wants us in heaven where we would live for ever. He will take all who has accepted his grace and reel you in. Very tenderly he will pull you out of the polluted waters of this sinful place. He will wash away all the traces of sin that has fill you life using his own cleaning blood and then place you into that Heavenly stream to live forever more.

John 21:

3: Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

4: But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

5: Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

6: And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

gods-love[1]As Christians when we obey our Lord by doing the work he gave us to do, by going where he told us to go and by telling others the words he told of to tell, we can’t help but to fill the net of God love for mankind to overfull.

There will be many of people in heaven, because of what we said even tho we thought they were not listening. Many because of how we lived our life’s even tho we though they were not looking. They will be there because someone cared enough to tell them about Jesus.

God Bless

God is Love

Matt:hew22:37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with lesson07-16all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

A few months ago my Wife gave me a gift for Christmas, something I always wanted, a GPS for my truck to help guide me when I get lost coming home from work. Well mostly for when I am traveling to help find where I am going.

It is really cool you can set where you want to go and just kick back and do what it tells you to do.

But I find it has a fault with it. You see I don’t like going the same way to work and back home all the time. Sometimes I take short cuts by taking the back roads. So I have to sit there and listen to my GPS telling me I am going the wrong way turn around, then when it finally understand I am not going to turn around. It said re-calculating and shows me the way home from my new location.

Now this is really fun or it was for a while anyway. What I would do is to let it tell me the time it would take to get home from my destination, and then I would go the back way and try to beat its best time.

Now as much fun as I was having with the GPS, it did not take long before it started to get Old.

And you know I was not playing with it anymore, nor did I try to beat its time.

But what really got me the most is that no matter how many times I let it take me home on the back roads, it never learned. It was as if it new only one way, it never learned as much as I tried to teach it the back roads.

You even wander how God feel about stuff like that.

When He first created Man God did not want a robot something with a pre-formed program that will always love Him.

Can you image, I LOVE YOU, YES I LOVE YOU> with no meaning to it.

How long do you think it would take God to get board with something like that?

He wanted a being that could learn, could make decisions, could laugh, could sing and Love Him back. Someone that He could communicate with and enjoy spending time with Even at the risk that one day they might rebel and kill Him.

Let Us Pray:::

———————————————————–

Turn to the person sitting next to you and answer this question to yourself.

Would I die for this person sitting next to me?

More then likely if it is your Husband, Wife or your child your answer is Yes.

Not always the case but we are saying more then likely.

Let’s be Honest now;   What is that four letter word that we as Christian seldom use,

                                         That right “LOVE”

It is one thing to say you Love; and quite another thing to truly mean it.

What is LOVE?

How does the world describe LOVE, is it a one night stand, or just sexual desire when your hormones get overworked.

In our world today there are many who look for Love in the things that this World has to offer, but it is not true Love.

  1. Beautiful; people worry about how they look, and there is nothing wrong with that we all want to look good; but wanting to look good should not be your life’s goal or ambitions. I am glad I am Ugly so I don’t have to worry about this one.
  2.  Money; there is nothing wrong with having money as long as it is not your God or that you put it before others.
  3. Things; just like money we can have a Love for the possessions we have; If you put the things you have in life before others.
  4. Love of self, being glad that you are not like other who are less fortunate then you are. Best described as a five letter word called PRIDE.

So how do we define true Love in a world of Sin.

You know in the old days when a Boy and Girl meet they fell in Love they got Married raised a family, the Man would work hard making a living and bring it all home to support his children and Wife.

They would live a long life together for 50 to 70 years and then go to rest in Jesus.

LoveSome one told me that was old fashion; we now live in the year 21 century so get with it old man.

Now days when Boy meets Girl they get married on the 5&10 plan

They meet fall in Love because they both look good and are at the healthiest point in there life. They get Married start having Children and 5 or 10 years go by and they are getting a Devoice.

Now let me ask you what was missing in there lives. Where did they go wrong?

They have no true commitment or true love for each other

Let’s take a look at LOVE and how it is described in Gods word.

Love is the basis of all creation; and redemption is the basis of true education.

This is made plain in the law that God has given as the guide of life. . . . To love Him, the infinite, and all-knowing one, with your whole strength and mind and heart, means the highest development of every power.

It means that in the whole being; the body, the mind, as well as the soul—that the image of God is to be restored in Mankind

The law of love calls for the devotion of body, mind, and soul to the service of God and our fellow men. And this service, while making us a blessing to others, brings the greatest blessing to ourselves.

John 3: 16: For God so loved the world,

That little Verse of Scripture says a lot. In the days of Creation we are told that after God had finish his act of creation he looked out and saw everything he had made

In the book of Genesis 1: 31: we are told And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.

God did not just through us into a dead old world; every thing that came from the Master hand came with the best intensions.

God gave of the best that heaven could give in the creation of Mankind, in that we were created in the very image of the creator God. What an honor God places on Man to be made in the likens of his Creator

The Scripture goes on to say that he also gave his only begotten Son,

Not only did God love us but he had also planned ahead that in the event man would prove to be unfaithful, there would be hope for him.

Just how would this come about; that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The plan for our redemption was not an afterthought, a plan formulated after the fall of Adam.

It was a revelation of “the mystery which hath been kept in silence through eternality.Rom. 16:25

It was an unfolding of the principles that from eternal ages have been the foundation of God’s throne.

From the beginning, God and Christ knew of the apostasy of Satan, and of the fall of man through the deceptive power of the apostate.

God did not ordain that sin should exist, but He foresaw its existence, and made provision to meet the terrible emergency head on.

He Died for YOU

He Died for YOU

So great was His love for this world, that He covenanted to give His only-begotten Son, “that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This could not be done by force. The exercise of force is contrary to the principles of God’s government; He desires only the service of love.

For love cannot be commanded; it cannot be won by force or by authority.

Only by love is love awakened. To know God is to love Him; His character must be manifested in contrast to the character of Satan.

This work only one being in all the universe could do. Only He who knew the height and depth of the love of God could make it known.

Upon the world’s dark night the Sun of Righteousness must rise, “with healing in his wingsMal. 4:2)

John:3: 17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

To all who have accepted Christ as a personal Savior, the Holy Spirit has come as a counselor, sanctifier, guide, and a witness.

The more closely believers have walked with God, the more clearly and powerfully have they testified of their Redeemer’s love and of His saving grace.

The men and women who through the long centuries of persecution and trial enjoyed a large measure of the presence of the Spirit in their lives, they have stood as signs and wonders in the world. Before angels and men they have revealed the transforming power of God’s redeeming love in the heart

Romans 8: 39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In the beginning, God was revealed in all the works of his creation. It was Christ that spread the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth. It was His hand that hung the worlds in space, and fashioned the flowers of the field.

“His strength setteth fast the mountains.” “The sea is His, and He made it.” Ps. 65:5&6;  It was He that filled the earth with beauty, and the air with song. And upon all things in earth, air, and sky, He wrote the message of his Father’s love for Mankind.

Rom:13: 10: Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

True Love is Patient, true Love is Kind, true Love will endure, and true Love will overlook the Faults of others and endeavor to bring into others the saving grace of Jesus.

It sees no evil, wishes no evil and does no evil to someone else. Jesus said Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

If only we would follow the Master words Love worketh no ill to others, what a place our world would be.

Matthew 5

43: Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46: For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Through the prophet, Jesus declares, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.” He compels none to follow Him. “I drew them,” He says, “with cords of a man, with bands of love.” Ps. 77:20; Jer. 31:3; Hosea 11:4.

It is not the fear of punishment, or the hope of everlasting reward, that leads the Disciples of Christ to follow Him.

They behold the Savior’s matchless love, revealed throughout His pilgrimage on earth, from the manger of Bethlehem to Calvary’s cross, the sight of Him attracts, it softens and subdues the soul. Love awakens in the heart of the beholders. They hear His voice, and they follow Him.

The law of God, from its very nature, is unchangeable. It is a revelation of the will and the character of its Author. God is love, and His law is love. Its two great principles are love to God and love to man. “Love is the fulfilling of the law” Rom. 13:10

Matthew 22;

36: Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38: This is the first and great commandment.

The greatest of all Commandments is to Love the Lord your God, This will take in the first Four of God Ten Commandments.

The revelation of God’s love to man centers in the cross, its full significance

tongue cannot utter, pen cannot portray, the mind of man cannot comprehend.

Christ crucified for our sins, Christ risen from the dead, Christ ascended on high, is the science of salvation that we are to learn and to teach.

Rom. 8:34  “It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God”

Heb. 7:25 “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he liveth to make intercession for them”

It is through the gift of Christ that we receive every blessing. Through that gift there comes to us day by day the unfailing flow of Jehovah’s goodness.

Every flower, with its delicate tints and its fragrance, is given for our enjoyment through that one Gift. The sun and the moon were made by Him. There is not a star which beautifies the heavens that He did not make. Every drop of rain that falls, every ray of light shed upon our unthankful world, testifies to the love of God in Christ.

Everything is supplied to us through the one unspeakable Gift, God’s only-begotten Son. Who was nailed to the cross that all these bounties might flow to God’s people who Love him and he will manifest his life in them who truly love him

1 John 3:1   “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God”

The knowledge of God as revealed in Christ is the knowledge that all who are saved must have. It is the knowledge that works transformation of character. This knowledge, received, will re-create the soul in the image of God. It will impart to the whole being a spiritual power that is divine.

Of His own life the Saviour said, “I have kept my Father’s commandments” John 15:10. “The Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him” John 8:29.

As Jesus was in human nature, so God wants His followers to be, In His strength we are to live the life of purity and nobility which the Savior lived.—

When your heart is in its right place the Love for God will be first and foremost in your life. There will be nothing you will put between you and God

I hope we can truly understand that, There will be nothing you will put between you and God. It is through the transforming love of Gods grace that others will see the Love of Jesus living in you and want to know more about him.

The Second greatest Commandment is like the first; Love for others, on this hang the other six Commandments.

Matthew 22:

39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40: On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

God’s Laws are all built on a Foundation of Love for others.

John 15:

12: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Now how would you answer the question of True Love.

It is easy to say I would die for my Spouse, I would die for my Children, my Brothers or Sisters, my Dad and Mon, and for a few good close relatives just to be on the good side.

But it is quite another thing to say it and mean it about dieing for someone else or someone you don’t even know.

True Love will look over the other Faults and still say yes I love you.

One of the reasons so many Marriage fail today is because one of the pair fail to over look the faults of the other.

And it is no different in the Church; when we get so busy looking at the faults of other we fail to see our own and when this happen it can destroy even God house.

Luke:6:42: Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

In take upon Himself humanity, Christ revealed a character the opposite of the character of Satan.

But He stepped still lower in the path of humiliation. “Being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.Phil. 2:8.

As the high priest laid aside his gorgeous pontifical robes, and officiated in the white linen dress of the common priest, so Christ took the form of a servant, and offered sacrifice, Himself the priest, Himself the victim. “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him.” Isa. 53:5.

Christ was treated as we deserve, that we might be treated as He deserves. He was condemned for our sins, in which He had no share, that we might be justified by His righteousness, in which we had no share. He suffered the death which was ours, that we might receive the life which was His.

It was Satan’s purpose to bring about an eternal separation between God and man; but in Christ we become more closely united to God than if we had never fallen.

In taking our nature, the Saviour has bound Himself to humanity by a tie that is never to be broken. Through the eternal ages He is linked with us. “God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son.

He menthe what he said and he said what he menthe

I would like to share a story with you and hope it will hit home.

I’ll never forget reading the first time about a dream that the famous Scotch theologian, Alexander White. This man awoke one night in a terrible sweat of fear and torment. He was weeping; his wife, in fact, had been awakened by his cries in the night. She said, “What’s the matter Alex, what’s the matter?” “Ah,” he said, “Mary, I had a terrible dream. I dreamed I stood in Pilate’s judgment hall, I saw Jesus brought in there before the tribunal.

I saw them strip Him to the waist. I saw a cruel Roman soldier step up with a long wicked lash, and he began to beat Jesus.” He said, “I watched as that great whip came down once, and then it came down twice, and I could stand it no longer. I sprang forward, I gripped the arm of the soldier. I held on as tightly as I could, then suddenly,” he said, “this soldier turned and looked me in the face, and Mary,” he said “it was I!

I was the soldier-I was the one beating my Lord.” And Alexander White broke down and wept bitterly as he remembered that terrible dream. Ah, friends, if we could only be impressed so vividly ourselves, that it was our sins that crucify the Son of God.

May God help us to confess our sins, to accept Jesus as our Saviour, to have our sins washed away in the blood of Christ, so that they shall not stand against us, so that we shall not share in the sin which killed Him there upon the cross of Calvary.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

We can only learn how to die for others when others can see Jesus in us.

If they can’t see Jesus in us then the only person we will die for is ourselves, and that death is the eternal death from Jesus.

 Reflection of Jesus in you

When Love is in the heart the Image of Jesus will be present in the Life.

Love is the outward workings of the Holy Spirit in the Live of people who has made Jesus the center of there lives.

Love works no evil, hears no evil, and does no evil to others; remember Jesus died for ALL

Matthew:5:46: For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Matthew:22:37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind

When we learn to Love God with all of our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind; then we will have learn to the point of being willing to die for others as Jesus die for you.

God Bless

Truth about Lot’s Wife

Share

Luke:17: 32: Remember Lot’s wife.

What was it about Lot’s Wife that Jesus would tell us to remember?

The world sometimes seams up-side down, so before we begin we need to ask Gods Blessing on what is the true meaning of what He said about Remember Lot’s wife

First we need to understand the story about Lot and his family so let’s go to the book of Genesis and start with Chapter 13:

7: And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram’s cattle and the herdmen of Lot’s cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.

8: And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.

9: Is not the whole land before thee?  separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

Abram was Lots uncle and together God had blessed them to the point that everything they had was too large for them to dwell together. So Abram said to Lot choose where you want to live, how wonderful was Lot’s uncle to give him first choice of all the land before them.

10: And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

11: Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

12: Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

Here we are told that Lot decided that he would dwell close to the big City of Sodom, but what did God say about Sodom.

13: But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

Lot seen and knew about how wicked that city was but he believed that he could gain advantage by living there and maybe convert some of the people as well.

Sometime it’s not good to live in or near a big city, why because little by little Satan will use the things of pleasure to lure you or your family away from God and away from the truth.

Now understand that it is not Gods will that any should die but there are times when God must put a check on sin or it would destroy the world before its time. The City of Sodom was known for its wickedness and the time of probation for that City was drawing to and end. They were giving time to repent of all the Evil that was done in that great City, but there passion for sin was great.

Genesis: 18

16: And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

17: And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

20: And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21: I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

22: And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

We are told that these men were Angles that were with Jesus; they went on there way to Sodom while the Lord and Abraham stayed behind.

Genesis: 19

1: And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

2: And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways.  And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

God will never force His way into your home, he comes in only when He is invited into your home. Lot did not know at first these men were angles, he like many good men in his time, it was customary to watch by the gate for strangers coming into the city and invite them in to his home. Lot also knew the wickedness in the city at night and did not want these strangers to meet any harm, so he invited them into the safety of his home.

12: And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides?  son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13: For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

The angles reveal to Lot there mission and give him warning to get out of the city because it will soon be destroyed. God will again in the last days give his people warning to get out of the Cities to a place of safety that He will provide for all who put there faith in him.

14: And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city.  But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

Lot returned sorrowfully to his home and told the story of his failure. Then the angels bade him arise and take his wife and the two daughters who were yet in his house and leave the city. But Lot delayed.

Though daily distressed at beholding deeds of violence, he had no true conception of the debasing and abominable iniquity practiced in that vile city. He did not realize the terrible necessity for God’s judgments to put a check on sin. Some of his children clung to Sodom, and his wife refused to depart without them.

Lot like all true Christians did not loose his faith or belief in God even surrounded with all the evil and sin, he kept his eyes on God; but he did became unalarmed by all the vice in the city. By beholding we become changed, this is why we must guard the avenues of our minds, we must be carful of the things we watch and do as they will change us. Lot had hopped to turn others in Sodom to the one and true God, but in fact he ended up loosing his own family to the pleasure of Sin. We need to be carful of what we let our Children do and see as it will someday make a difference in there life, if they will or will not obey God and live or serve Satan and die.

17: And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

Is it importance to listen when God is giving instructions, when he tells you to do or not to do something in a cretin way. We might not understand the reason why God said to do something, but we need to make sure we do precisely to the T on how God said to do it. Remember Adam & Eve it was just a piece of fruit that’s all, but it was a piece of Fruit that God said don’t eat it for in the day you eat of it you will die. When God tells you to do something, do it according to His very word, when God says to remember something make sure you never forget it, it could save your life.

24: Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

25: And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

The thought of leaving those whom he held dearest on earth seemed more than he could bear. It was hard to forsake his luxurious home and all the wealth acquired by the labors of his whole life, to go forth a destitute wanderer. Stupefied with sorrow, he lingered, loath to depart. But if it was not for the angels of God, they would all have perished in the ruin of Sodom. The heavenly messengers took him and his wife and daughters by the hand and led them out of the city.

26: But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

So here is the reason Jesus said remember Lot’s wife. She was instructed like Lot and his two daughters not to look back. God did everything He could to save her; all she needed to do was to obey His command. But the question is why did she looked back, did she for get something. In fact she did she left her heart there in Sodom, even thro her body was safe and on the outside of Sodom, her heart was on the things she left behind.

While her body was upon the plain, her heart clung to Sodom, and she perished with it. She rebelled against God because His judgments involved her possessions and her children in the ruin. Although so greatly favored in being called out from the wicked city, she felt that she was severely dealt with, because the wealth that it had taken years to accumulate must be left to destruction. Instead of thankfully accepting deliverance, she presumptuously looked back to desire the life of those who had rejected the divine warning. Her sin showed her to be unworthy of eternal life, for the preservation of which she felt so little gratitude. We should beware of treating lightly on God’s gracious provisions for our salvation

How sad when the children of the Father loose there hold on faith because of the trinkets of this world. When they would rather choose the pleasures of Sin for a season rather then eternal life with the God who loves them enough to die for them. Lot did all that a Father could do for his family, he was a man of faith, a man of purity, a man of prayers; but to his children and Wife he was only a foolish old man. To the world God people will look like foolish people because they will be different, they would choose the things of heaven over the pleasures of Sin in this world. They would choose to server God rather then Satan, they will be the ones doing what God said to do, John:14:15: If ye love me, keep my commandments.

We must learn that there is nothing in this life more important then to serve the God who created us. Adam lost his grip on faith when Eve sinned and he chose to Sin with her rather then to be separated from her. He could not see Gods divine plan for mankind with out Eve, so rather then wait for God he too decided to join Eve in her act of rebellion and disobeying Gods divine instructions.

Now let’s look at the words of Jesus in the book of Luke

Luke:17:

28: Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29: But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

God is telling us that this world is becoming a city of sin just like Sodom and soon his judgment will fall on all who have choosing to disobey His Laws His Commandments. It is not His will that any should be lost because He paid the price for all by His death on the cross. To be lost in Sin is a personal choice, it is a choice you make to turn your back on the truth and be lost in this world of Sin. Just because you go to Church does not give you a free ticket into heaven, remember Lot’s Wife. She was safe outside but her heart was still there in Sodom.

Let’s look again at the story Jesus was telling in the book of Matthew

Story about 10 Virgins Matthew 25:

1: Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2: And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3: They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5: While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Now let’s understand the setting of the story, this illustration is about Gods Church. Why I say that is because it is about Woman who are Virgins. A woman in the Bible represents as a Church, and a Virgin Woman would be GodsChurch.

6: And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

The Bride Groom represents Jesus coming back for His people

7: Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8: And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9: But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

What does oil represent in the Bible, Gods Holy Spirit that is correct.

10: And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

So here we find only half of God Church were keeping His laws and commandments and so they had more of the oil that only God can supply, His Holy Spirit. The other half of the so called Christians had some oil but when the time came they ran short on the oil that would keep there light burning. That light my friend is Jesus as long as we are looking at Jesus and keeping His word that light will guide us safely to Him. John:17: 7: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Psalme:119: 105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

All who will have the Oil of the Holy Spirit will have enough that there light will keep burning and keep them on the right path to Jesus. But we must learn now that we need to Obey Gods and do what he told us to do. It is very important to follow Gods word and do as He told us to do and not the world. Isaiah:8:20: To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. The only truth there is, is in God word, don’t let someone fool you and say it is OK to forget what God say to remember.

11: Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12: But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Friend the story here in not about people who do not know Jesus, the story is about God Church. The problem again is those who believe and do what God said to do; and those who believe and do what the world said to do.

There is a danger and Jesus is giving us a warren that we will become like Lots wife. When the time comes and the message to leave our homes and things of this world, will you be lost or saved. Will you be one of the Christians who keep the commandments of God, or the traditions of your Church, there is a big different.

Do not let the things of this world keep you from eternal life with Jesus, when he said to remember Lot’s wife He was telling us to take care and listen to the Holy Spirit. Read everyday in Gods word; asking for God’s Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth. Obey His commandments not your Church doctrines. The Church doctrines will lead you to disobey; but Gods Word will supply you with enough oil to get you through the night and into the Wedding feast. Obey and don’t look back at the cities when God is telling you to get out.

Exodus 20: 8-11 Again God says to remember, but many of the Churches today say it is OK to forget.

8: Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9: Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Right in the middle of Gods Ten Commandments we find the word REMEMBER.  And who is telling us to remember God is, and what is He saying to remember, His Law His commandments. When God said to remember he was telling us to look back at the past to find out what He said to remember.

Genesis: 2:

1: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2: And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3: And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Right there in the very beginning of creation, God did something wonderful, He blessed the last day of creation and made it holy. Then He tells us to Remember what He God did in the beginning, so you would have no drought of where you came from.

Look at how the Bible describes the Church at the end of time, he calls it Laodiceans and says it is in a Luke Warm stage Revelations: 3:

14: And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

With God there is no in-between, you are either all for God or you will be all against God. There will be no one sitting on the fence with one leg in both sides.

Matther:6:

24: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

The Truth is that many Christians today are no different then Lot’s Wife. They have a form of Godliness on the outside but want the goods of this world on the inside. They are not cold but they are not hot either; they are kind of right there in the middle, (Luke Warm). That my friend is a dangerous place to be in the present of the almighty God of all creation

In the end time there will be only two choices to make; those who keep God Commandments, and those who do not keep God commandments. What side will you be on?

Revelation 14:

12: Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Who is Satan persecution, There will only be two choices.

Revelation:12:17: And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

God is telling us by His prophet John that Satan will be angry with the small group (remnant ) of true Christians who refused to disobey God. Then Satan will make war with Gods true Christians and persecute them through the others so called Christians who have compromised with the world and trample down the truth of Gods Word.

But I tell you a truth my friend, don’t be afraid, just have faith because God will be with His true people. He will lead them through time of trouble just like He did for the children of Israel. For 40 years God provide everything they needed in the wilderness and God will again provide for His end time people who have left Sodom for the safety of His provisions.

Don’t take lightly what God is telling you to do, and don’t think because some Church tradition or big religious leader is saying it is OK to do contrary to what God said is OK.

Out of all of Lot’s family only He and two of his children were saved, everyone one else was lost.

Remember also Noah, God gave him a massage to preach to the world of the soon coming destruction, but no one believed him. It did not stop Noah because he believed Gods word and when the time came to make a choice to enter into Gods provision of safety only 8 people were saved   Genesis:7: 16: And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

God shut him in and probation for this world ended. God will again shut His true believers in and away from the destruction that is coming upon this world. Because they will be the ones who made the choice to do according to His commands and to keep His word as a light unto the path that will lead to salvation.

Luke: 21:

25: And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26: Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27: And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

My friend what side will you be on, I pray that you will choose to keep Gods Law and His commandments all ten of them and not the 9 that the Churches of this world are saying it is OK to keep.

Revelation:14:7: Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Right there in the last book of the New Testament it is telling us to Worship the God who back in Genesis Created this world, the same God who in the 4th commandment made the made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. What should you be doing, what God said to do, or what your Church is saying to do. Remember Lot’s Wife and obey the command of a God who loves you so much He came to die in your place in order to give you eternal life with His in a paradise kingdom that He is preparing for all who by faith believe in Him.

Matthew: 7:

13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Read and understand what Jesus was saying, He is giving us a warning. The path that will lead you to Him is narrow and only a few only the remnant will find it.

The path that leads to Jesus is not the one that the large Churches are teaching. Remember Revelation 12: 17: The dragon went to make war with the remnant of her seed. The few that will find the straight path will be the ones keeping Gods Commandments, God’s Law, and God’s testimonies. We must learn that in order for anyone to be saved we must do what God is telling us to do and not the Church or the Church traditions. We will all stand before Jesus one day and be judge for what we know is the Truth. How will you fair on that day if you are doing something other then what Jesus has told you do.

You see we live in a World today where people say oh I am OK I am a good person I don’t hurt any one or do anything wrong. But is that enough my friend to get you in to Heave when the time comes or will you refused to leave your Sodom home.

We do things at home and watch things on TV or at the Movies, but I ask if Jesus came to live with you today would you watch them in His presents; or take Him to see that Movie. Would you say those things to your neighbor or take that thing that is not yours if Jesus was standing right there next to you.

My friend the Bible said in Proverbs:14:12: There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. We think we are OK living the way we do but we would not live that way if Jesus was standing there with us or living in our Homes. And in this scripture it is telling us that these little things may someday be the difference between us wanting to leave or holding us back in this world of Sin.

God is a God of love a God of mercy a God of justice, but you can’t disobey what He is telling you to do in order to be saved and expect to be saved. If you do; wend the time comes to leave this Sodom world you too will look back at all the treasure and things you had to leave behind and find yourself a pillar of salt outside of the Kingdom of Jesus.

We must learn to put our faith in God and God alone. You can’t go by what your Church is teaching or by what your pastor may be preaching. You must study the word of God for yourself day by day and let His Holy Spirit guide you into all Truth. As you read and pray little by little the Holy Spirit will open your understanding of Gods word. As we get closer to the time of the end there will be many deceivers in the all Churches. This is why you must know the word of God for yourself and what is says.

Yes I know what you are thinking, I can’t read that well or I can’t remember what the Bible says. That is no excuses, just believe and let God lead. Maybe you will not remember now but when the time comes God will bring back everything you have been learning to safely guide you out of Sodom. Daily Bible studies are very importance even if it is just 5min a day, devote that time and be alone with God, just obey His voice and do the things He said to do.

Look at the Bible from cover to cover and read, it is all about a God looking for a people that love Him and want to show it by doing what He God say to do. Salvation my friend is just that simple obey and live disobey and die, the same test that Adam & Eve was giving is giving to each and everyone of us today.

1Kings:18:21:How long halt ye between two opinions?  if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him

I pray that today you will choose to follow God and His truth.

God Bless you my friend and may we meet someday in God kingdom

Be Ready for you know not the Hour

John 4: 23: But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

I always find that things happened when you least expect it. And if you are waiting on something, especially if you are watching it as you wait, it can take forever.

When you lease expect it, something like a Fire Drill can through you right off balance, why because we are not prepared.

On the Ships we are forever having drills, drills of all kind. The reason is to make sure you are ready at all times and prepared at all times in case of a real Emergency.

Because if you are prepared when the trouble comes you will know just what to do to be SAVED.

Matthew:24: 42: Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Jesus is telling us the same thing, be ready, be prepared because we know not the hour when the Lord shall return for those who are ready

Rev:14:12: Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Let us Pray!
————————————-

I have a message today for every individual. I wish everyone in Lafayette could gather around and hear what we’re going to talk about today— because today we are going to talk about the last night on Earth.

That night that finally comes to every person who ever lives on this planet. Today we are going to talk about making decisions.

STORY: The City of city of Pompeii

Many of you have heard about the city of Pompeii which was in Italy long ago. It was in the year 79 AD that the mountain called Vesuvius literally exploded and millions of tons of ash and molten lava came down from that volcano to completely destroy the inhabitants of that city.

That day was like another day, they were Partying, Drinking, Getting Married, some others were properly out in the field Working, some were Grinding at the Mill, It was like any normal day that is “Until”.

If the stones of that city could speak, what a story they would tell us of that last night for the people of that city. The tale of a whole city who were overwhelmed in one night

Apparently there was a time when those people saw the mountain exploding and many had the chance to escape. The city was filled with many wicked people who cared nothing about God. We know this because the city had a terrible reputation.

They lived a lavish comfortable lifestyle, maybe too comfortable. Yet before the volcano erupted, the people of Pompeii had plenty of evidence that something was wrong, something was about to happen.

Small tremors could be felt on a regular basis throughout the city, wells and streams had dried up, the animals began to act strangely as they could sense the soon coming danger.

The Spirit of God was there pleading with them to repent of their sins and get ready for what was coming. But the people kept on with their pleasure seeking until their doom was sealed.

They didn’t know when they went to bed that night that it would be their last night alive on planet earth.

Then on August 24 the volcano exploded. Some died instantly, yet others lingered to see what would happen. Rather than flee, they made a decision which would cost them their lives.

The Bible gives us another illustration of the last night on Earth in the book of Genesis. It’s the story of a man named Lot who lived in the city of Sodom—another very wicked city.

When the destroying Angles came they found only Lot was ready and prepared

Lot tried to warn some of his daughters and sons-in-law but they mocked him and he finally had to leave them knowing they would be destroyed and lost forever.

The inhabitants of those cities pushed away the pleading voice of the Holy Spirit. They, too, didn’t realize that by morning, their life would be over.

People today think, “If I knew that I only had one day or one month or even one year left to live, I could get ready for Jesus. I’d make things right and prepare myself. I’d pay my debts and confess my sins”

Of course we would. But, my friends, most people will never ever know when they will enter into that last 24 hours of their life on this Earth. Because death comes very suddenly upon us

Matthew: 25:13: Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

The awful tsunami disaster that struck on Dec. 26th of 2004. An event so powerful and devastating and yet so sudden that many tens of thousands in Indonesia were caught unawares.

For those people caught and killed in the large wave, the last thing on their minds when they went to bed the night before was death.

They didn’t think that it would be their last night to make things right with God and so most would just carry on with their normal lives.

The devil knows that death can come suddenly and he takes advantage of our procrastination. That sin of neglecting salvation turns into the sin of rejecting salvation.

If we say “no” to God, before long it turns into a habit and becomes addicting. If a person waits one day, he’ll wait another day. If he’ll wait one week, he’ll wait another week. And those weeks stretch into months and even years and finally his time is over.

There is never a better time to get things right and get ready for eternity than today!
“Today is the day of salvation.” 2 Cor. 6:2

I wonder how many of you are aware of the devil’s favorite word. The devil’s favorite word is “Tomorrow.” The devil will tell you, “Don’t make a decision now. Make it tomorrow.

Don’t follow that Bible teaching today or tonight. Do it tomorrow. Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.” Because tomorrow turns into weeks, and weeks into months and then years and finally the day will come suddenly—perhaps much more suddenly than we even think—and there will be no more tomorrows!

The human heart that is so touched by God’s Holy Spirit tonight can become hardened if we wait for tomorrow.

Jesus knew that. And so He warned us. In John 12: 35“Walk while you have the light lest that light turn to darkness.” You see friend, if we walk away from God’s truth, all there is left is darkness.

When people keep on lingering and putting off the call of God and the invitation of the Holy Spirit, they actually harden themselves and seal themselves against the convictions of truth and after a while those truths don’t make an impression anymore on them.

What a tragedy! If we are one step outside the door of the ark when it closes, we might as well be a thousand miles away.

When the angel hand came to close that door of Noah’s ark, there were people no doubt only inches from the ark; only inches away from making the decision that would have saved there life’s.

When Noah made his last appeal to the people, there were many who probably helped at some time in the building of the ark and never got on; but just waited and watched.

If you’re lost by an inch, you might as well be lost by a mile or a million miles.

There are some just like that today. They may have worked for the church, and they said they agreed with the teachings of the church, but they never made a firm decision to get on board with the church!

Friends, we must be willing to move in our lives and get on board the ark of today—which is to submit our lives to the truth of God’s final warning message.

Story: Remember the story of Paul preaching in Act 26: 28:

Governor Felix “When I have a more convenient season I’ll call for thee.”

King Agrippa Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

*Friends, an “almost” Christian is not a Christian at all.

I’ve watched people tremble with conviction as the Holy Spirit pleads with them but they are only almost persuaded. But friend, if we sit and sit as the call of God comes to us, and do nothing, we are just as lost as the person is down at the bar drinking.

There were two thieves who died with Jesus. One asked for and received salvation. The one on the other side was just as physically close to Jesus and yet he didn’t turn to him and cry out for help. He didn’t say the words that could have brought salvation to him. Many are going to be lost exactly like that.

In Matthew 12:30 Jesus says, “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Sometimes the most profound statements in the Bible just slip by us. Here Jesus is taking away all neutral groundall fence sitting, and He says, “You’re either with me or you are against Me.”

There’s no neutral ground with Jesus. And then in the next two verses He tells us about the one and only sin that He cannot forgive.

Matthew 12: 31,32 “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men, And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

The Bible says all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men. What is another word for manner? All kinds! Every kind of sin can be forgiven.

So is the unpardonable sin a kind of sin? Any sin you name, whether it’s adultery, murder, lying, any kind of sin, if we sincerely confess it, and forsake it, God will forgive it. Isn’t that good news?

No matter what kind of sin we commit we serve a God who is open-armed with forgiveness just as the father was in the Bible with his prodigal son.

We serve a God of mercy. The Bible says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive them.”

If you are tormented with a guilty conscience, come to Jesus and let Him forgive you. Come to Jesus and let that great big guilty burden roll off your back and He will give you peace and take those accusing voices away.

According to Matthew 12:31 the unpardonable sin is the sin against the Holy Spirit of God, the third member of the Godhead. When you sin against the Holy Spirit it can’t be forgiven. It’s a very serious sin. Now why is this?

Why is this sin against the Holy Spirit so serious that it would jeopardize our eternal life?

In order to understand this simple truth, we must go and study the work of the Holy Spirit in the human heart, and the delicate mechanisms by which the Holy Spirit works.

We’re going to study in the Bible just how the Spirit works so that we can be sensitive to the Spirit’s voice. So we can hear the Spirit’s voice as He works in our heart and mind.

John 16:13
The Bible says, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into (what?) all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

The first work of the Holy Spirit upon every human heart is to lead them to truth so the truth can set them free.

It is the Holy Spirit that inspired this Bible that we’re reading here today, and the Bible says that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” (Heb.13:8)

So the same Holy Spirit that inspired the Bible writers to write Scriptures, leads you and I today to understand what the Bible writers wrote down.

For example, if I study the Bible truth regarding death, and realize the Bible doesn’t teach purgatory, and there is no such thing as an immortal soul, but because of my past cultural or traditional background, I reject the clear teachings of the Bible, I am not only rejecting a Bible truth, I am also resisting the Holy Spirit that wants to lead me to understand that truth.

Why? Because the same Holy Spirit that caused that truth to be written in the Bible, now desires to lead us to understand it.

There are some folks that say, “Well, Tim, I hear the truth, and I know the Holy Spirit is saying ‘this is sin, this is wrong,’ etc., but I’ll tell you what I’m going to do, I’m going to go home, and I’m going to pray about it. And I’m going to wait on the Holy Ghost and see what the Holy Ghost has to say.”

Friends, if we can see plainly what the Bible is saying, then we don’t need to wait on the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is waiting on us.

And every impression we get does not mean that it’s the impression of God’s Spirit. I’ve had people say to me, “I know what I ought to do, but I’m not going to do it unless I feel convicted by the Spirit that I should.”

Luke 16:31 “And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose form the dead.”

In other words—the Scriptures are enough! They are sufficient proof of what is truth!!

Isaiah 20: To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

So whatever God has said in the Bible, by faith, step out and do it. Move ahead and do it. Don’t wait for a special feeling, or a sign from heaven.

(Man in Harrisburg who prayed to see shooting stars to know if the Sabbath was true or not.)

When God shows us something plainly in the Scripture, there is no need to ask for shooting stars!

We must make an intelligent choice to act on the Word of God. And when we choose to act on that which is right, our feelings then will follow.

If I have a feeling which harmonizes with God’s Word, praise the Lord! But if I don’t have any feeling at all, I still act based on what God says in the Bible.

The Bible tells us God never condemns sincere people that are in darkness.

John 3:19
He says, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”

God is telling us that in the Judgment, Men and Woman will not be condemned because they believe a lie, But rather because they would not believe the truth.

Why because when the opportunity came to know and accept the truth they refused to accept it

There must come a point in our hearts and lives where we love and embrace that truth enough to follow it no matter the cost.

Satan will work, and is working amazing deceptions in these last days. The only safety is to have a mind open to accept and to obey Gods truth.

Let’s go to 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 in the New Testament also to establish this fact. “What shall it profit you if you gain the whole world and lose your own soul?”

What is your job going to mean to you and your family and your friends: all on the outside of the walls of the city will be forever lost?

If you’re waiting for truth to be popular—it will never happen. If you’re waiting for all the popular speakers in the country to follow Bible truth—you’ll wait too long.

*Was it a popular thing to get on the ark in Noah’s day? No
*Was it the right thing though? Yes

*Was it a popular thing to be a follower of Jesus when He was there at Calvary? No
*Will it be popular to be a faithful Christian during the Mark of the Beast crisis?  What do you think?

The same Holy Spirit that speaks to you speaks also to the popular people of the day. My friend they will have to give an account to the Creator God in the judgment with what they did with truth just like we will.

John 3:16
16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Roman 8:
39: Nothing can separate us from the Love on God that is in Christ Jesus except your willingness to not be saved.

God is poring out his Love and Truth to all people everyday, saying follow me for if you love me do the things I told you to do and you will have everlasting life.

So that when the time comes and when the clock strikes that hour in your life you will have no worry or fear. John 4:23: The true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth, why because they have made the Lord the Ark of safety in there lives.

My friend please be Ready for you know not the Hour or how close we really are, but I tell you a truth it could happen at any time.

God Bless each and everyone of you today

Who Did Sin

Story:  One Glass of Milk

  • One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house.

However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, “How much do I owe you?”You don’t owe me anything,” she replied. “Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness.”

He said, “Then I thank you from my heart.” As He left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. You see He had been ready to give up and quit but this one kindness act gave him the strength to keep going on.

  • Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.

Dr. Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from he went down the hall of the hospital to her room.

Dressed in his doctor’s gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. And so he went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won.

Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, and then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room.

She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words:

Glass of Milk “PAID IN FULL WITH ONE GLASS OF MILK.

(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.”

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: “Thank You, God, that Your love is shed abroad through human hearts and hands “.

Let us Pray!

________________________________________________________________________

Don’t you just love a good Doctor?   If you find one please let me know…

As far back in history as I can go I find that there has always been doctors, or what we would call doctors, people who studied the Human Body. People who wanted to know how to help others who were sick.

Why do we need Doctors anyway?     Why is there so much sickness in our world,

Why so much suffering, pain and sorry?    If God is so good can you tell me why?

What is it all about?        How did it start?        When will it finish?

In Jesus time there was a Lady who had a problem

Luke 8: 43: And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

Sounds about right, nothing has changed in 2000 years.  I know a lot of people who are just like this woman. Spent everything they had on doctors first

But listen to what happens to her

44: She; Came behind him (Jesus), and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.  In other words it Stopped.

What had happened here, this woman touched Jesus and her 12 year problem went away, how, listen to what Jesus told her.

48: And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Jesus said your FAITH   your FAITH has made you whole.

  • Have you ever read in the Bible about the Kings of Israel? I challenge you to read the books of Kings and Chronicles and there you will find that Good Kings only lived 20 to 30 years after they became King. But Evil or bad kings lived 40 to 55 years after they became king.

Why is this, did you ever wonder why?

May years ago people believe that Sickness was all because of Sin, you made God angry and so God has broth this sickness on you. The sad part is that many people still believe that today.

Open with me to the Gospel of John and let’s see what Jesus says about this

John 9:

1: And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2: And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

There was people and religious leaders who believe that if you got sick it was because you have Sinned and made God angry.

Look at the story of Job    was it because Job sinned that he lost everything he had

No….

STORY:  Tell only a short version of the story because of time:

Who was the cause of Job’s sickness   “ Satan”   he hates people who loved and worships God and puts God first in their life’s.

3: Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Was the works of God manifested in the life of Job, yes they was.

I have heard people say you are sick because you don’t eat right, or you brought this upon yourself by your bad habits.

Yes it is true that eating right can help your body fight off sickness and help you to heal faster.

But not all sickness if because of what you eat.

I know some very good Vegetarian who has Prostate Cancer, why, no one can explain..

  • Some diseases are caused by other things beside what you eat.

  • Sin has affected our genes; sometimes we get sick because of our ancestors

  • Sometimes we get sick because of the environment around us

STORY: Working Offshore on the Oil Rigs / Being put into tanks to clean them of who knows what.  10 to 20 years later we find we have Cancer and no one knows why.

  1. Sometimes we get sick because of the stuff that is put on or into our food Genetically modified food not good for the human body

So it is not always because of what you eat, But what and how you eat may makes a big different in the outcome of how your body will heal and fight the disease.

  • What about bad things happing to good people, is it because they Sinned?

Remember the Story Jesus told of the Good Samaritan, in Luke 10: 30-35.

STORY: Tell short Story of the Good Samaritan

Most people will turn their head when they see someone suffering or in pain.  They will walk right by saying I hope someone helps that poor lady that poor man.

The problem these days not all people who are hurting are laying down on the ground.

Some of them are in our everyday life. They live down the block, or in the house next to you, they are there at work standing in front of you, sometimes they are sitting in the Church right next to you.

How do you know if someone is hurting? How can you tell when someone is in need of help?

Sometimes it is easy to see if they are just laying there on the ground or in bed hurting. We can look and say excuse me but are you hurting, can I help you.

I remember when I was going through Cancer treatment many times people who cared about me would ask how are you doing and I just say.

I could not be better if I was twins…..

Many times I was hurting on the inside, I was in pain, I was in distress physically and sometimes mentally, I was sick, but I was happy to know someone cared about me.

How do you tell someone what you are feeling when they don’t understand what you are going through. I could pull someone over and talk for hours about my pain, and the next time they see me they will avoid me because I take too much of their time telling them how I hurt all the time.

So again why,

Why if God is so good is there so much sickness in our world?

Why do good people suffer and why SIN?

Why did God just not blot it out when it started?

Did you ever ask yourself    Why God, why me what did I do to deserve this….

The only way to know something is to live it yourself or you will never really know it, you can’t know or feel what someone is going through unless you have felt it for your self.

  • God knew of Sin and he knew of its deadly effects. But how could he in all fairness justly condemn mankind to eternal death if he himself has never experience what it is like to suffer, and die because of Sin

One day God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit all came together. They came together to plan the creation of a new World and a new kind of Creature.

A creature that would not be a spirit but would be flesh and blood. One that life would be created from within life and they would be made in the image of their creator Himself, he would be called Mankind because this new Creature would be both male and female.

Mankind like all of creation would also be giving the freedom of choice.

What is the freedom of choice?

The freedom of choice is what keeps all of heaven in perfect order; it is the ability to choose: to love God, or not to love God.

God the Son said what if this new creature would choose not to Love God and would Sin, what would happen to them?

1John:3: 4: Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Ezek:18:4: Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Romans 6:  23: For the wages of sin is death                 The wages of sin is death

Why if God is so good is there so much sickness in our world, why do good people suffer and why SIN.

Why did God just not blot it out when it started?

Why God, why me what did I do to deserve this….

If you knew your Children would turn out bad would you still have them?

What if you knew your Children would someday kill you, would you still have them.

No matter how they turn out I love them and would still have them, even if it cost me my life to save them. Why because I love them

  • Are you beginning to understand now how God Loves?

God the Son said but wait, if Mankind chooses to not love God, if he chooses death rather than life, if he chooses not to obey the commandments of God.

God the Son said, I will Chooses to die in his place,

I will take his Sin’s upon myself so that if Mankind chooses to believe in me he can once again be restored to his Maker

That is why God the Son became a Man to know and understand where we are, and to help us find the path that was lot because of Sin back to the Father.

He took Sin upon himself who knew no Sin and died the death that we will die because of Sin. This He did so He could give us in exchange His eternal live that we do not deserve, all because He Loved us.

Romans 6:  23: For the wages of sin is death but, I like that word but, you know why because it tells me that there is more to the story, there is something better to come.

You see the BUT says the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is hope after all; there is a way to be reconciled back to our Creator who loves us

The only way to know something is to live it yourself or you will never really know how it is. That is what Jesus had to do for all Mankind

A healthy person can never understand the pain and suffering of someone who is sick and we are all sick with the disease of sin and dying.

God being God had to become what we are in order to feel what we feel and live how we live in order to show us that God loves us and through Him we can know God the Father loves each and every one of us.

Becuase of Love

Here is true Love.

Isa:53:5: But he God was wounded for our transgressions, he God was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him God ; and with his God’s stripes we are healed. We are forgiving

Isa:53:8: He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation?  for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Isa:53:11: He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Isa:43:25: I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

You know the different between Man forgiving and God forgiving.

Man forgives but never forgets

God forgives and forgets

John:15:13: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

May the God of our fathers be with you and bring a blessing into your life this Sabbath and throughout the new week just ahead. Amen
